Martin [7] lost his serve in the opening game of the final, afterwards he held 17 times in a row, and led 40/15 at 1-all in the 4th set when he was broken again. Agassi [2] leading 4:3, saved two break points & won the longest game of the final after four deuces; it was a crucial moment of the match – from that moment Agassi quickly got 7 out of the last 9 games against the exhausted opponent to claim his second and last US Open title.
