   Night session 3-hour 17-minute match on Centre Court and [12] Muster’s first advancement to the US Open quarterfinal (he skipped the event three times before due to various injuries). Gilbert [33] had saved a mini-match point at 5-all in the 3rd set before winning the tie-break 7/5. The six years younger Austrian was fresher and from 2-all in the 4th set, he grabbed the last four games easily. It was Gilbert’s last appearance on Centre Court in the most prestigious tennis events – two seasons later he finished his career focusing on Agassi’s pursuit to become the best in the world (Gilbert turned to be Agassi’s coach as a Top 40 player).
