The last two games of the 1st set, the entire 2nd set, and the first three games of the 3rd set are included to the stats, so 14 out of 26 games (53%). The match was halted at 2:1 for Borg in the 3rd set because of rain… Taroczy was an underachiever considering Grand Slam. It was just his second and last major quarterfinal, the first he’d played in Paris too, in 1976. That defeat to Borg, it was Taroczy’s third consecutive major loss suffered against the Swede. Here are the scorelines of those matches:
4R Roland Garros ’80: Borg d. Taroczy 6-2, 6-2, 6-0
4R Wimbledon ’80: Borg d. Taroczy 6-1, 7-5, 6-2
QF Roland Garros ’81: Borg d. Taroczy 6-3, 6-3, 6-2

* They played six times against each other and Borg won all sets (15-0), not being forced to play even a tie-break
* Taroczy, like majority of European players born in the 50s, didn’t participate in the Australian Open.
