   Big disappointment for the crowd – third straight Parisian final without an interesting story… [2] Nadal’s sweet revenge for sensational defeat to Soderling [7] in Paris a year before (in the fourth round). The Spaniard saved a break point at 1:2 in the opener and took control over the final. From *1:2 onwards in the 2nd set he won seven straight games. For the second time (previously in 2008) he won the event not dropping a set! “I played my best match against you,” Nadal told Soderling during the trophy ceremony. “If not, it’s going to be impossible to beat you.”
