   Federer improved his H2H vs Ferrer to 16-0 (*17-0 in the end)! The Swiss said: “I’m happy how I’m playing. I know I didn’t beat Rafa and Novak here but you only beat who you play. Clearly I can’t wait for the US Open but I need some rest too.” A week before at the Canadian Open, Federer defeated Ferrer 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 in the quarterfinal, and reached the final which he lost in straights to Tsonga, so he played ten matches within two weeks.

   Montreal ’17 (third round) it’s their last meeting, and Federer wins 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 (Federer already led 2:0 in the 2nd set and firmly held for the rest of the set)
