   [7] Blake’s only win over Federer [1] in eleven meetings. It could have been perceived as Blake’s biggest win if he had won a bronze/silver medal, but in the semifinal he lost to Gonzalez despite a triple match point up. Prior to that quarterfinal match, the Swiss had won 9 straight sets against the American, so it was quite shocking that he lost five games in a row from 4-all in the opener. He trailed *0:3 in the 2nd set, improved afterwards, but Blake was ahead for the entire match, his serve was working better (as opposed to their other matches) and he confirmed his supremacy winning the tie-break 7 points to 2. “If you play him enough times, he’s bound to have an off day,” Blake said.
