  1. Voo de Mar says:
    Points won by each set: | 36-38, 34-27, 34-26, 29-18 |
    38 % Murray – 44 of 113
    27 % Janowicz – 36 of 130

Despite distinctively slower average of 1st and 2nd serves, Murray [2] gained more points directly behind the serve… Janowicz [22], the first Polish semifinalist at majors, saved a double set point in the opening set (the tie-break he won 7/2), and led 4:1* in the 3rd set. The last set of the 2-hour 52-minute encounter was played indoors. Murray advanced to the Wimbledon final for the second year in a row.

    # Comparison of the serve speed:
    Murray
    # fastest serve: 131 mph = 210 kph
    – 1st serve average: 117 = 188
    – 2nd serve average: 83 = 133
    Janowicz
    # fastest serve: 148 mph = 238 kph
    – 1st serve average: 128 = 206
    – 2nd serve average: 108 = 173
