   An example of an ironic match in which one of players is better through almost entire two sets but loses in three… In the 2nd set Henman [10] trailed on serve: 2:3 (15/40), 3:4 (0/40), 4:5 (0/30) & 5:6 (15/40), but he somehow found a way to win the tie-break despite winning just 4 points in [31] Federer’s previous six service games! In the 2nd game of the final set, Federer faced a break point for the first time in the semifinal, and was broken on the third occasion for Henman. At the beginning of that game the umpire Rudi Berger changed his decision to award Henman a point instead of replaying it – there was 15-all then, the Swiss teenager expressed his dissatisfaction…. In the last game of the match Federer squandered a double break point. It was his first MP-up defeat in his 40th main-level event. Henman won the title the following day, snapping his negative streak of 7 finals lost in a row.
