# Almost a copy of their US Open final two years before, especially in terms of the points (Federer even won the same amount!). The progress was different though – in the US Open ’07 final Djokovic had many set points in the two opening sets; in their second straight NY semifinal, he put himself in a quite good position to win only the 1st set as he led *4:2 & 5:4 (30-all). In the 2nd set his best outlook appeared at 3-all (30/0) on Federer’s serve, in the 3rd he squandered a double mini-set point at 4-all (Federer played a great point at the net, then forced a forehand error). The Swiss [1] delivered magic in the last game of the match – leading 30/0 he chased a volley-lob and passed Djokovic [4] with a tweener – it was absolutely incredible shot, perhaps the fastest possible in that position; it gave Federer a triple match point and being very relaxed he run around his backhand to finish the contest with a thundering forehand return.
