Points won directly behind the serve:
    22 % Agassi – 29 of 128
    30 % Mirnyi – 44 of 145

High-quality 2-hour 52-minute quarterfinal of two contrasting game-styles (look at amazing number of winners!). Mirnyi, who was attacking the net on almost every occasion throughout, saved a break point at 4-all & double break point at 5-all to win the 1st set tie-break 7/5 thanks to the only mini-break. He was three points away from winning the 3rd set after the longest game of the match that occurred at 4-all, which he won it withstanding four break points (7 deuces)… It’s a lone major singles quarterfinal in Mirnyi’s career – he advanced to the last 8 upsetting Roger Federer in straight sets (6-3, 7-6, 6-4); Federer didn’t have a break point in that match… another defeat at majors not having a break point, the Swiss superstar will suffer 13 years later in the French Open quarterfinal losing to his countryman Stan Wawrinka 4-6, 3-6, 6-7.
