  1. Voo de Mar says:
Points won directly behind the serve:
    40 % Krajicek – 64 of 157
    27 % Henman – 45 of 164

Nice serve-and-volley contest on Arthur Ashe Stadium, albeit there were a few baseline rallies on Henman’s serve. In every set one break of set decided the final outcome. Krajicek survived 7 deuces (saved 3 break points) in his opening service game. In the 4th set he saved a break point at 2-all; trailing 0/30 at 5-all in the 5th he delivered four huge serves in a row – first he got a point with a FH-volley, then notched 3 aces with Henman’s little reaction. The Brit actually lost the 3-hour 24-minute match (completed at 1:04 a.m.) because of double faults – he committed three of them serving at 5:6 in the 4th & two serving at 5:6 in the decider.

The fourth & last meeting of their exceptionally balanced rivalry:
    Wimbledon ’97: Henman 7-6(7), 6-7(7), 7-6(5), 6-4
    London ’98: Henman 6-7(5), 7-6(2), 7-5
    New Haven ’98: Krajicek 5-7, 6-2, 7-6(16)
    US Open ’00: Krajicek 6-4, 3-6, 4-6, 7-5, 7-5
