One year after amazing final against Murray, Djokovic [2] triumphed in Shanghai again winning his last match in a dramatic fashion. Even though Del Potro [5] wasn’t playing very bad tennis from the beginning, he escaped from a bagel set saving two set points at 0:5. In the 2nd set he led 3:0* (deuce) after bizarre break in the 2nd game when Djokovic completely lost his balance and looked like a drunk man 😉 In the 3rd set the Serb saved a break point at 2-all with an ace and had a double match point at 5:4, but Del Potro erased it quickly. In the tie-break the most important became a 24-stroke rally in 4:2 Djokovic’s favour when he finished it with an inside-out forehand. “It was a great experience again in Shanghai with a thrilling performance from both, my opponent and myself.” said the defending champion who struck 8 of his 10 aces in the decider.
