   [6] Ivanisevic’s last valuable result on clay, at the age of 26. He had his chances to win both sets against the clay-court specialist: he led 5:3* (30-all) in the 1st set (in the 7/5 tie-break decided one mini break at 5:4 for Corretja) and wasted break points in three different games of the 2nd set, at 1:0, 4:3 & 6:5. In the 2nd tie-break he led 3:1 when the Spaniard won five straight points and took it 7/4. It’s quite interesting that they played five tie-breaks against each other in four matches, and the Spaniard won them all even though he was a weaker tie-break player in general (51% vs 57%). In the first round of the Olympics in Sydney 2000, Corretja defeats Ivanisevic 7-6, 7-6 again.
