   19th match in a row at Roland Garros won by Bruguera [7] and the last one during the impressive streak. Furlan [61] was a solid player in the 90s, but never a threat at majors. That year his draw was exceptionally favorable, and he took advantage of it (he beat guys ranked: 123-157-79-135 respectively). Unfortunately against Bruguera he suffered a hamstring injury (medical time-out after the 1st set) and as he trailed *0:3 in the 2nd set, it seemed he’d retire. He continued to play, and the Spaniard lost his focus for a short period of time allowing Furlan to feel better and fight until the match point.
