  1. Voo de Mar says:
    Points won by each set: | 32-20, 28-16, 24-10 |
Points won directly behind the serve:
    25 % Ferrer – 16 of 62
    14 % Robredo – 10 of 68

Robredo [34] won three consecutive matches from two-sets-to-love down as the first player in the Open Era. He paid the price for that amazing effort in the quarterfinal on Suzanne Lenglen court, as he was able to play a competitive tennis only in the first 30 minutes. Since then he was visibly tired, sluggish, and Ferrer [5] could do whatever he wanted, winning easily 14 out of the last 16 games of the match… Robredo’s sixth major quarterfinal, later that year he’ll lose another major quarterfinal at the US Open (to Rafael Nadal) – no other player appeared as many times as Robredo in the Grand Slam quarterfinals not reaching a semifinal.

    Robredo’s seven Grand Slam quarterfinals:
    Australian Open (2007); Roland Garros (2003, ’05, ’07, ’09 & ’13); US Open (2013)
