  1. Voo de Mar says:
The stats without the first 7 games of the 2nd set… number of aces and double faults correct for the entire contest.

    Points won by each set: [ 34-27, 22-30, 26-7, 31-25 ]

Gonzalez & Murray met thrice (Gonzo 2-1, the same vs Djokovic), played 12 sets against each other, all lop-sided. The Chilean [12] broke at 4:3 in the opener, Murray at 3:2 in the 2nd set. Before the 3rd set there was a 5-minute break for cleaning the lines. Perhaps that extended break distracted Murray’s concentration. He led 40/15 in the 2nd game of the 3rd set, but lost his serve after three game points, immediately caught a bad mood, and actually surrendered the following three games! There was 3-all in the 4th set when Gonzalez took two straight games after deuces. He was broken at love serving to place himself in the semifinal, and another game turned into Murray’s [3] disaster – I assume one of his worst serving games as a pro. It lasted over a minute as Gonzalez was just returning: BH error, BH error, FH error (dropshot), FH error – I don’t like the term “unforced error”, but if something is an unforced error, Murray made four of them in a row then.
