A meeting of two best servers of 1991, and almost entirely dominated by their serves on a fast surface at the OlympiaHalle. In the tie-break, Forget led 5:2*, then had two set points (6:5, 8:7) – Stich saved them both with service winners to win it 10/8. The only break of the match came at 4-all in the 2nd set, after its longest game (four deuces) when Stich broke the Frenchman with a problematic decision of Forget’s countryman – Bruno Rebeuh. “Bad calls sometimes are part of the game,” Forget said. “You have to deal with it.”
