  1. Voo de Mar says:
    Points won by each set: | 31-22, 30-24 |
Points won directly behind the serve:
    38 % Monaco – 19 of 50
    8 % Nieminen – 5 of 57

In 2013 took place the first edition of the tournament at the Rochusclub after it had hosted the World Team Cup in years 1978-2012… A chilly weather (12 degrees) during the final, could theoretically favour the man from Scandinavia [42], but it wasn’t the case – Monaco [19] won both sets pretty comfortably, serving above his usual standards. He enjoyed the best period in his career between Valencia ’11 and Düsseldorf ’13. After obtaining that title in Germany, his last one, the Argentinian was actually finished as a Top 20 player. “I feel very good every time I go on centre court, I feel something special. With this victory today, it’s even more special,” said Monaco who cited his earlier visits to the event when it was still a team competition (he played there for Argentina in years 2009-11, winning 5 out of 7 singles matches).

Monaco’s route to his 8th title:
    2 Andre Ghem 6-4, 6-4
    Q Tobias Kamke 6-3, 6-4
    S Guido Pella 6-4, 7-6(8)
    W Jarkko Nieminen 6-4, 6-3
