   Despite very bad service day (only 39% of first serves in), Federer [5] quite easily defeated one of his toughest opponent in the initial period of his career, improving to 4:3 their H2H rivalry. Federer’s first title not dropping a set; against Novak [10] he came back from a break down twice in the 2nd set (four consecutive breaks), then trailed *5:6 (30-all). It was their second final within a few months following Vienna, a few months later they play another final, and Novak takes a surprising revenge in front of the adversary Swiss crowd in Gstaad.
