   One year after his ATP debut in Costa Do Sauipe, Bellucci [84] reached his first final there. The 21-year-old Brazilian had great support from the crowd, but lost after 2 hours 13 minutes to his five years older opponent. In the deciding set Bellucci came back from *2:5 (15/30), but made a few baseline errors trying to level at 5 games apiece. Robredo [19] won title also in doubles (along with Marcel Granollers). The Spaniard enjoyed one of the best periods in his long career during the Golden Swing ’09 – within a month he won two titles (Costa Do Sauipe, Buenos Aires), reached semifinal in Vina del Mar, and quarter-final in Acapulco, playing in every event against Jose Acasuso (H2H record 2-2).
