  1. Voo de Mar says:
    Points won by each set: | 28-32, 35-39, 44-38 |
Points won directly behind the serve:
    20 % Dimitrov – 22 of 109
    18 % Murray – 20 of 107

Prior to that semifinal, Dimitrov [22] lost all three matches vs. Murray [7] in straight sets. “At the moment it feels like the best win of my career,” said Dimitrov. “I always thought Andy was an unbelievable player. We all know how he competes. I was really happy with how I played today. I wanted to win badly. He doesn’t give up easily, but I’ll take that win in two tie-breaks.” It was finished at 2:30 a.m. Dimitrov won tie-breaks 7/5 and 7/3. In the 2nd set tie-break the Bulgarian already led 6:3 (before that tie-break, Murray had won four service games at ‘love’). In the 3rd set he led 5:3*, then he held at ‘love’ serving to stay in the match so he was 3 & 4 points away from defeat in the sets he won.
    # One year later Murray would defeat Dimitrov after a very similar match, producing one of his most memorable comebacks (trails *1:4 in 2nd and *2:5 ‘deuce’ in 3rd set)

    # Comparison of their two similar matches:
    2014 Acapuclo (SF): Dimitrov d. Murray 4-6, 7-6, 7-6… 2 hours 55 minutes… Total points: 107-109… 3 & 4 pts away
    2015 Cincinnati (3R): Murray d. Dimitrov 4-6, 7-6, 7-5… 2 hours 59 minutes… Total points: 116-114… 4 & 1 pts away
