  1. Voo de Mar says:
    Points won by each set: | 22-32, 42-42, 34-34 |
Points won directly behind the serve:
    27 % Rosol – 32 of 117
    35 % Janowicz – 32 of 89

Rosol [33] saved a triple mini-match point at 5-all in the 2nd set (he saved break points in three different games in that set). In the 3rd set he trailed *4:5 (0/30), then saved two match points (Janowicz’s forehand errors) to finish the final with an ace. Janowicz [52] lost three matches that year squandering match points… He was bidding to become the first Pole to win a main-level tournament since 1982 (Wojtek Fibak in Chicago). “I just focused on my games, especially while I was serving,” said Rosol. “I waited patiently to see if he would give me a chance on his serve, and he did. I didn’t start out well, but I finished strong.” They face each other on the same court one year later in the second round & Janowicz wins 6-3, 6-2.

Rosol’s route to his 2nd title:
    2 Ryan Harrison 3-6, 2-1 ret.
    3 Pablo Andujar 1-6, 6-2, 6-2
    Q John Isner w/o
    S Yen-Hsun Lu 7-5, 4-6, 6-4
    W Jerzy Janowicz 3-6, 7-6(3), 7-5 – 2 m.p.
