  1. Voo de Mar says:
    Points won by each set: | 43-44, 38-31, 29-20, 18-29, 30-19 |
Points won directly behind the serve:
    21 % Newcombe – 34 of 158
    20 % Rosewall – 30 of 143

Preparing this picture I used this post
Rosewall saved a set point at *4:5 in the 1st set and trailed *1:3 (0/30) in the 4th. The 10 years older Rosewall edged their H2H 12:10, but every time when they played a five-setter, Newcombe was the victor (Paris ’68, Wimbledon ’70, Forth Worth ’72).

Newcombe’s route to his 5th Open Era title:
    1 Roy Barth 6-2, 6-3, 6-4
    2 Nicholas Kalogeropoulos 6-1, 6-2, 6-1
    3 Owen Davidson 9-7, 6-3, 7-5
    4 Dennis Ralston 14-12, 9-7, 6-2
    Q Roy Emerson 6-1, 5-7, 3-6, 6-2, 11-9
    S Andres Gimeno 6-3, 8-6, 6-0
    W Ken Rosewall 5-7, 6-3, 6-2, 3-6, 6-1

    # No breaks of serve in the 5th set against Emerson until the last game of the match – Newcombe saved 5 break points in that marathon set.
