  1. Voo de Mar says:
Points won directly behind the serve:
    31 % Wawrinka – 26 of 83
    34 % Berdych – 31 of 90

With the 1-hour 58-minute victory the Swiss claimed his 9th title (the first indoors), one short of Berdych’s record (the Czech was a defending champion in Rotterdam). It’s Wawrinka’s sixth straight win over Berdych in 16 meetings. “It’s been an amazing week,” said Wawrinka. “It wasn’t easy, but every match I found my way. It was a great final. Tomas was playing really well, but I’m happy to turn that match for me and win the title.” The last final in career of one of the most experienced Open Era umpires – Gerry Armstrong.

    Wawrinka’s route to the title:
    1 Jesse Huta Galung 6-3, 3-6, 6-3
    2 Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 6-7(2), 6-4, 6-2
    Q Gilles Muller 7-6(3), 6-3
    S Milos Raonic 7-6(3), 7-6(7)
    W Tomas Berdych 4-6, 6-3, 6-4
