   # Becker [2] and McEnroe [4] played two matches against each other concluded in deciding third sets, and the German won them both despite winning fewer points. In Paris, he entered the court after two very demanding matches. Despite that, physically he looked very well, he was controlling the opener which he won 7/2 in the tie-break. McEnroe got the only break of the 2nd set at 3:2, Becker at 1:0 in the decider. McEnroe struck 4 of his 5 aces at 1-all in the 2nd set; in the following game he got a penalty point for a six-minute obstruction (McEnroe complained that Becker had taken too much time on serve between the points). Hypocrisy because McEnroe was doing the same…
