  1. Voo de Mar says:
    Points won by each set: | 42-45, 29-22, 38-27 |
Points won directly behind the serve:
    21 % Haase – 21 of 100
    19 % Kohlschreiber – 20 of 103

The final was held on Saturday, on the same day the first round at the Olympics in London kicked off, so the draw that year in Kitzbuhel looked poorly – the defending champion Haase, seeded with No. 3 being ranked just No. 42. His final opponent, the top seeded Kohlschreiber [23] as a Kitzbuhel resident didn’t want to skip his “home-town” tournament, but that decision caused an aggravation of his foot problems and he withdrew from the Olympics (Haase lost quickly in London to Richard Gasquet two days later)… One-hour break due to rain occurred after the 1st set. The 3rd set was more tense than the scoreline would indicate. The German squandered a double break point at 1-all, then he won a 16-point game (saved four BPs) to cut the lead for 2:4, and had a triple break point in the following game – he wasted his third opportunity making a volley error despite facing an empty court. He destructed his racquet right afterwards, and got a point penalty because he earlier had received a warning after the ball abuse.

Haase’s route to his 2nd title:
    2 Philipp Oswald 6-4, 3-6, 6-2
    Q Wayne Odesnik 6-2, 6-4
    S Martin Klizan 6-3, 6-3
    W Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-7(2), 6-3, 6-2

In years 2012-13, the Dutchman suffered the Open Era worst streak of tie-breaks lost at the main level – 17 in a row (the tie-break dropped to Kohlschreiber, has No. 8 in that infamous streak)
