Points won by each set: [ 46-43, 31-19 ]
Points won directly behind the serve:
15 % Muster – 11 of 70
21 % Sampras – 15 of 69
The year 1995 marked a great rivalry between Sampras and Agassi, but it was the year of Thomas Muster as well. Mainly due to different schedule, Muster didn’t face Agassi even once in 1995, and he played only one match against Sampras – it happened in the lone edition of Essen (Muster was focused on playing on clay in 1995, the Americans were rather avoiding that surface of ’95). It’s astonishing how many sets Muster [3] won in 1995 coming back from difficult positions, he did it against Sampras [2] too. The Austrian trailed *1:4 (30-all) in the 1st set, also *1:4 in the tie-break which he won 8/6, winning the point of the match at 6-all!
