The only match in which Dimitrov [17] has beaten Nishikori [5] so far (six meetings). The Bulgarian saved break points in his two opening games. In the 3rd set he obtained the only break leading 4:3 (Nishikori led 30/0 in that game). The Japanese took a medical time-out before the decider. “It’s been pretty emotional past year so for me, this trophy means a lot,” Dimitrov, whose previous ATP title came at Queen’s Club in 2014, “These 10 days out here for this tournament have been the most fun I’ve ever had on a tennis court, and off the court.”
