   The most interesting out of six “Pepsi Grand Slam” events. Both finalists survived their semifinals saving match points, and, in the final Connors fought off three match points at *4:5 in the 2nd set having beaten Borg in 6 of their 7 previous encounters. Points won by each set: | 34-28, 34-42, 29-20 |
