   “It has been a dream week,” said Soderling [5] after the final in which he wasted several break points for a 5:0 lead in the 2nd set. “I feel really good. Now finally, my body feels good. I struggled a little bit with some injuries the past couple of months.” Actually in the last two matches of the tournament he played better than ever before. It was a 176th and the last main-level event in Soderling’s career… The Swede was 27-year-old at the time, he seemed to be in a great shape having won four titles in 2011, but soon after Bastad he began to struggle with mononucleosis, the illness that forced him to withdraw from the US Open ’11 in the last minute. In the following four years he believed he would back to the competitive tennis, but ultimately announced his retirement from professional tennis on December 23, 2015. Before Soderling, only the greatest player of the 90s, Sampras finished his career winning a title.
