  1. Voo de Mar says:
Ferrer has won the Heineken Open four times (2007, 2011-213). In the years 2012-13 he was ranked No. 5 and won each of those finals losing not only the same number of games (7), but the same number of points as well (57). Against Rochus [68], who played his last final then (record: 2-8), Ferrer controlled the match throughout, against Kohlschreiber [19] he saved a set point at 4:5* as the German missed his backhand. “I had a very good start,” Kohli said. “It’s very hard to play against David, he never gives up. He gives you all the time one more shot to play. I think I still played unbelievable. I didn’t take the first set and he raised his level and I dropped a bit which is why the second set went too fast.”

    Points won by each set: | 32-26, 36-31 |
Points won directly behind the serve:
    28 % Ferrer – 20 of 70
    10 % Rochus – 6 of 55

    Q Alejandro Falla 6-4, 4-6, 6-3
    S Fernando Verdasco 6-3, 6-4
    W Olivier Rochus 6-3, 6-4
