   Newcombe missed a BH-volley by inches having a match point at *5:3 in the 4th set. In the ensuing tie-break he led 4:1, then saved two set points at 5:6 & 6:7* (BH return winner). It was his 7th and last Grand Slam title (five of them won in the Open Era).
