   The last vital match of inaugural edition of the United Cup. Actually a meeting of two guys who hit the hardest forehands in the Top 20 currently. Fritz [9] wasted a 40/15 lead on return as many as four times, but stayed cool as he hadn’t any serious problem to hold 12 times. Berrettini [16] managed to get ‘deuce’ in Fritz’s four service games – on each occasion the American was serving wide to get cheap points. “It’s great. It’s amazing for the team to win this event. We came in with really high hopes, or at least I did, for the event,” Fritz said. “I was really happy to be in that position to clinch the match.” It’s just their third meeting, but second in the team competitions: three years ago Fritz prevailed 5-7, 7-6, 6-2 in Davis Cup.
