   Night session match, Agassi [11] was initially very annoyed with his performance, he trailed 2-6, *0:2 (40/30) after Washington’s two winners, he managed to get another point and the match completely turned around. Agassi won seven straight games, lost one, and won five in a row. For 23-year-old Washington [21] it was his first big result at the Mercedes Super 9 level; he was playing his most consistent tennis in 1992, a few weeks later he was a set away from the US Open quarterfinal, on the verge of cracking the Top 10 which never materialised. In the Mercedes Super 9 semifinal he’d also fail in 1993 (Stockholm) losing successive sets ‘2-6, 1-6’ again.
