   The Russian [4] saved three mini-match points in the 2nd set at 4-all. First a double break point when [37] Korda helped with two backhand errors (Korda’s forehand error on third break point). The Czech had a double break point also in Kafelnikov’s first service game of the decider. As a Roland Garros champion, Kafelnikov advanced to the second Parisian final in a year. Previously did it Edberg in 1989, but he lost both finals while Kafelnikov won on clay, lost indoors.
