Fast match with this scoreline (lasted only 1 hour 50 minutes). Khachanov [47] led almost throughout the two sets he took, in the first set he won the first 12 points on his serve. The Russian squandered his first match point with an overhead, but Pouille helped committing a double fault in the following point at ‘deuce’… the Frenchman [16] netted his forehand on the second match point. “It is the second title in my career, so I am extremely happy. I just need to keep working and keep going,” said Khachanov. “I felt I was playing good here from the first day. It’s nice to play on a full court in the final, and I hope to come back next year.” Three days later they face each other in the second round of Dubai, and Pouille avenges 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.
