   Almost two weeks after their final on Western Coast in the United States, they co-created a similarly lopsided contest with a deciding set on Eastern Coast: one significant difference – at Key Biscayne the deciding set meant a 3rd not a 5th set… In the Key Biscayne 2nd set Korda [13] held at ‘love’ (to lead 4:3) striking three aces, very unusual in his case, and in the following game he broke the only time after the longest game of the match (three deuces). Before the decider, the Czech took an MTO to his left foot; Korda’s movement was slightly limited afterwards which reflected in Sampras [1] jumping to a 5:0* lead. The American finished the quarterfinal with an ace DTT. Korda was fine, and one week later he helped Czechia to beat Israel abroad in the Davis Cup quarterfinal, contributing with 2.5 points… Sampras & Korda played a very similar match on the same court a year before.
