  1. Voo de Mar says:
    Points won by each set: | 28-17, 31-22 |
Points won directly behind the serve:
    39 % Draper – 18 of 46
    17 % Rune – 9 of 52

The first Masters 1K final featuring two players born in the 21st Century disappointed. Both Draper [14] and Rune [13] were ranking neighbours, they defeated in the semifinals players who had competed in the previous two IW finals (Alcaraz and Medvedev), so it seemed their match would be tight and exciting. Draper won the toss, elected to receive, he missed his first big forehand in the opening point, but didn’t retreat from his offensive mindset. He was serving extremely well, and his mixture of heavy forehand top-spins in all directions with flat cross-court backhands was lethal for the younger, but more experienced Dane (his fourth final at this level while two years older Draper never played a semifinal at this level before). “It’s incredible. I wasn’t expecting this,” the 24-year-old Draper said moments after his one-hour, nine-minute victory. “I’ve put in a lot of work over time and I’m just so grateful and so happy to be out here to be able to play, my body being healthy, to feel great in my mind. All the work I’ve done over the last few years feels like it’s coming together on the big stage and I can’t put that into words.” Draper is the fifth Brit/second Englishman (Rusedski, Henman, Murray, Norrie) to advance to the Top 10 (he jumps to No. 7).

Draper’s route to his 3rd title:
    2 Joao Fonseca 6-4, 6-0
    3 Jason Brooksby 7-5, 6-4
    4 Taylor Fritz 7-5, 6-4
    Q Ben Shelton 6-4, 7-5
    S Carlos Alcaraz 6-1, 0-6, 6-4
    W Holger Rune 6-2, 6-2

Average 1st and 2nd serves: Draper 202 kph and 188 kph (!), Rune 193 kph and 166 kph
    Serve-and-volley: Draper 0, Rune 1/2
