  1. Voo de Mar says:
    Points won by each set: | 27-34, 43-40, 34-25 |
Points won directly behind the serve:
    27 % Gasquet – 25 of 90
    13 % Davydenko – 15 of 113

Gasquet [10] saved two mini-match points at *2:4 in the 2nd set (Davydenko’s two errors: backhand, then forehand). In the 3rd set, the Russian [44] was visibly tired and got only one point directly behind the serve. On Gasquet’s first match point, he netted his backhand to lose after 2 hours 30 minutes his last ATP final. # Gasquet had beaten Davydenko in similar circumstances eight years before in Monte Carlo – in both matches the Russian was four points away from victory (in Monte Carlo he led 5:3 in the 2nd set when lost two straight games at ‘love’).

Gasquet’s route to his 8th title:
    1 Jan Hernych 6-3, 6-4
    2 Grega Zemlja 6-7(7), 6-4, 7-6(3)
    Q Lukas Lacko 6-1, 6-3
    S Daniel Brands 7-5, 7-5
    W Nikolay Davydenko 3-6, 7-6(4), 6-3

    # Gasquet trailed *2:5 (30-all) in the 3rd set vs Zemlja

    # Comparison of their two similar matches:
    Monte Carlo 2005 (2R): Gasquet d. Davydenko 4-6, 7-5, 6-2… 2 hours 24 minutes… Total points: 101-86
    Doha 2013 (F): Gasquet d. Davydenko 3-6, 7-6, 6-3… 2 hours 30 minutes… Total points: 104-99
