   Stats of the 3rd set only (44%)…

   A pleasant all-wooden racquet match in untypical enviroment (clay-court in Japan). They both were ranked in the Top 20 at the time. The 27-year-old Taroczy led 3:0* in the 3rd set, but the American broke back and they held a few times quite comfortably before the tie-break, in which the Hungarian quickly established a decisive 4:1* lead. The final set lasted 64 minutes.
