  1. Voo de Mar says:
    Points won by each set: | 31-21, 39-30 |
Points won directly behind the serve:
    44 % Zverev – 22 of 49
    22 % Jarry – 16 of 72

Zverev [5] began the match serving three aces in a row, and he kept such a high quality of serving throughout the final. Both ~200 cm players were serving 1st and 2nd serves with actually the same speed on average (~210 and 170 kph), but the German had an enormous high percentage of 1st serve in (80%… Jarry wasn’t bad either with 68%). The Chilean [24] thrice escaped from a 15/40 deficit, but ultimately at the end of both sets he made some costly errors trying to save set/match points. “This one is special in its own way because it proves to me that I can win these kinds of tournaments again. I’m at the level where I want to be. Moving forward, I can dream again. This is what this week brings me.” said Zverev, whose victory allowed him to jump to no. 4 in the world which guarantees the avoidance of facing the best players in the world in the quarterfinals in Paris more than two weeks from now. Hypothetically because Zverev can play against Medvedev in the quarters, his most challenging opponent recently. The 29-year-old Jarry advances to the Top 20 for the first time in his career.

    Zverev’s route to his 22nd title (6th Masters 1K):
    2 Aleksandar Vukic 6-0, 6-4
    3 Luciano Darderi 7-6(3), 6-2
    4 Nuno Borges 6-2, 7-5
    Q Taylor Fritz 6-4, 6-3
    S Alejandro Tabilo 1-6, 7-6(4), 6-2
    W Nicolas Jarry 6-4 7-5

    # Zverev was serving first in the no-break 2nd set vs Tabilo, he saved a break point at 3-all, and wasn’t closer than 4 points from defeat in the tie-break

    Serve & volley: Zverev 0, Jarry 1/1
