   Ancic [12] advanced to the quarterfinal after a dramatic 5-set win over a 5-set specialist Robredo, and it was reflected in his slugish movement, especially at the net. Yet he was serving big, and the match was pretty balanced given the straightforward scoreline. There was 4-all in the opener, in the 2nd set the Croat led 2:0* (40/0) – Federer struck three winners in a row, and 4:3* in the 3rd set. It was a first of their four successive matches at Slams, Ancic couldn’t steal a set in any of them.
