   Lendl [1] and Mayotte [14] co-created the most one-sided H2H among players born in the 60s, Lendl never lost in their 17 meetings, the Milan final it was their match no. 16. Unfortunately Mayotte’s classical serve-and-volley game wasn’t sharp enough at the turn of the 80s and 90s when tennis made its transition to more aggressive shots (serves, passing-shots) thanks to improved equipment. During the years 1989-90 they played four matches against each other, and Mayotte was unable to win five games in any of nine sets they played. In Italy the Czechoslovak triumphed in 1 hour 23 minutes, one week later they’d play their last match, also a final, and Lendl was even more methodical in Toronto, punishing Mayotte’s delicate approach-shots, demolishing him 6-3, 6-0 in 64 minutes, breaking five times not dropping his serve once.
