Henman [3] snapped a 7-final losing streak playing superb tennis with a lot of conviction. He had only one tough game on serve, and it ocurred when he was serving to get the title, there was 0/40. “It’s been a long time coming. It’s been a test of one’s patience, but to put in a performance like I did today makes it worth it,” said Henman, who pounded his chest in an unusual display of emotion after the win. “It’s a definite relief, I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a relief. On the other hand, I always believed I would win again, I have always had a lot of self-belief.” The Brit got his breaks ha 3-all, 1-all and 2-all in respective sets. Haas [28] dropped in the main-level finals to 1:8 (he’s finished with 15-13).

    Q Fernando Vicente 6-4, 7-6(3)
    S Roger Federer 2-6, 7-6(4), 6-3 – 2 m.p.
    W Tommy Haas 6-4, 6-4, 6-4
