  1. Voo de Mar says:
    Points won by each set: | 31-20, 24-32, 26-11 |
Points won directly behind the serve:
    36 % Enqvist – 27 of 73
    25 % Agassi – 18 of 71

Enqvist was one of Agassi’s toughest rivals in the 90s. Agassi had positive records against the majority of the best players of the 90s, however, it ended at 5-5 against the powerful Swede. Facing Enqvist [18], Agassi [1] couldn’t impose his game-style because Enqvist, a better server yet less agile mover, had very similar way of thinking about tennis: aggressive ground-strokes off both wings, the return position inside the court, and reluctance to attack the net while being not prepared. On that day, Enqvist raced to a 6-3, 2:0* lead. He lost the advantage but didn’t do the same in the following set. As he led *3:0, Agassi created a triple break point, but it was firmly erased, and the best player of the season actually surrendered in the last two games.

    Serve & volley: both 0
