  1. Voo de Mar says:
    Points won by each set: | 44-41, 21-32, 32-21 |
Points won directly behind the serve:
    17 % Nadal – 22 of 123
    18 % Djokovic – 19 of 105

Their 57th match, 6th in the Roman final (Nadal leads 4:2 in those finals). Djokovic [1] led 5:4* (30-all) in the 1st set. At 2-all in the decider he had two break points, but couldn’t convert and lost three straight games. “It’s a very satisfying [victory],” Nadal [3] said in his post-match press conference. “It’s amazing [to] have the trophy with me again one more time here in Rome. The 10th, I really wanted this 10th here in Rome. It was one of the first important titles that I won in my career. After achieving 10 in Roland Garros, 10 in Monte-Carlo, 10 in Barcelona, I really wanted this one.”

Nadal’s route to his 88th title:
    2 Jannik Sinner 7-5, 6-4
    3 Denis Shapovalov 3-6, 6-4, 7-6(3) – 2 m.p.
    Q Alexander Zverev 6-3, 6-4
    S Reilly Opelka 6-4, 6-4
    W Novak Djokovic 7-5, 1-6, 6-3

    # Nadal trailed *0:3 (0/30) in the 2nd set vs Shapovalov, also 1:3* in the 3rd set in which saved two match points at 5:6… Djokovic survived a similar match against Tsitsipas (in the quarterfinal) 4-6, 7-5, 7-5 – the Serb trailed *1:3 in both sets he won, in the decider saved 4 break points in the 5th game as well as 4 mini-match points (3 at 4-all in 2nd and 1 at 5-all in 3rd)!
