   An ugly match of two very talented young players with almost empty stands (covid)… Auger led *2:0 (30/0) in the opener, Humbert 3:1* (40/15) in the 2nd set. The decider was concluded without a break, the Frenchman [34] escaped twice from 15/40 (at 3-all & 4-all), the Canadian once from 15/40 (double match point at 4:5). Only one mini-break decided the tie-break outcome as Auger [21] mishit his forehand at 1-all. One week earlier they’d met in the Stuttgart quarterfinal, with Auger prevailing in two tie-breaks (7/5, 10/8) after two hours.
