20 % Agassi – 32 of 155

With that rather unexpected win (even though Becker belonged to the most successful players at Wimbledon for two decades), the German [4] snapped an 8-match losing streak to Agassi [1]. The American, playing superb tennis, passing regularly his opponent with ease, led *4:1 (15/0) in the 2nd set! Then Becker, who had nothing to lose, forced himself to run more & began risking second serves – it turned the things around. In the crazy 4th set, Becker fought off break points in four service games, Agassi in two. The American also led 6:5* (30/15) in the set before losing a 1/7 tie-break (the same TB score in the tie-break of the 2nd set). A few months later they will face each other in a major semifinal again (US Open), and Agassi prevails in a four-setter taking two tie-break sets on that occasion.
