In the tie-break Edberg fought off three set points (7:8, 8:9*, 9:10). He won the 4th set despite facing break points in three service games. In the decider, Ivanisevic erased a break point at 2-all with an ace. Also service bombs helped him to save 3 break points as he was serving to secure his berth in the semifinals. Certainly the 2nd set was crucial, until it Edberg had won all their 9 sets that went to 5-all!
