  1. Voo de Mar says:
The 1985 Wimbledon final in doubles

    Points won by each set: | 35-24, 44-44, 47-41, 36-31 |
Points won directly behind the serve:
    37 % Becker – 52 of 140
    38 % Curren – 63 of 162

The 17-year-old Becker was playing just his 25th main-level tournament, becoming the youngest Wimbledon champion in history! In the 2nd set he led *4:2 in the tie-break, Curren led with a break (4:3) in the following set. The final lasted 3 hours 8 minutes.

    Becker’s route to the title
    1 Hank Pfister 4-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4
    2 Matt Anger 6-0, 6-1, 6-3
    3 Joakim Nystrom 3-6, 7-6(5), 6-1, 4-6, 9-7
    4 Tim Mayotte 6-3, 4-6, 6-7(4), 7-6(5), 6-2
    Q Henri Leconte 7-6(7), 3-6, 6-3, 6-4
    S Anders Jarryd 2-6, 7-6(3), 6-3, 6-3
    W Kevin Curren 6-3, 6-7(4), 7-6(3), 6-4

Becker was three points away from losing to Mayotte, two points away from losing to Nystrom (!) & saved a double set point in the 2nd set vs Jarryd
